Welcome to Edible Delmarva!
Celebrating the Abundance of Delaware and Eastern Shore Maryland & Virginia
Edible Delmarva is a seasonal culinary publication celebrating what we love about the food that defines us as a region and the wonderful ways it brings us together. From the rich waters of the Chesapeake, north to the vibrant city of Wilmington and the historic Brandywine Valley, across the fertile farmlands of Delaware and the Eastern Shore, to the seasonal harvest of our Atlantic coastline, the Delmarva Peninsula is truly an edible feast!
Our mission is to celebrate the joys of good food and drink and the many ways it connects us and brings us together. Edible Delmarva showcases the people across our region who grow, harvest, and prepare the freshest possible ingredients along with those who love sharing delicious meals with families and friends.
The love affair between people and food is as fundamental as it is timeless. Today, the vibrant local food movement here in Delmarva, and all across the nation, pays tribute to that essential connection and continues to play a central role in our relationships, our community, our culture, and our economy.
At Edible Delmarva, we believe that knowing where your food comes from is just as important as knowing how to cook it. Through engaging features, singular voices, and stunning photography, Edible Delmarva celebrates our top chefs and home chefs, our bakers and beekeepers, our winemakers and baristas - everyone who has a love for food and drink in our region.
So whether your local family roots go back to First Statehood or you’re just now falling in love with blue crab fresh from the Chesapeake, we hope you’ll join Edible Delmarva in celebrating our seasonal local food culture!
Edible Delmarva is published four times a year, with gorgeous photography, insightful writing, and amazing and achievable recipes. Edible Delmarva will be distributed free throughout the region and can be found at restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, events, farmer’s markets and other select retailers.
