Spirits of Summer
Local Delmarva distillers stir up a fresh batch of summer cocktail recipes!
Ingredients
SERVINGS: 1 Cocktail
- ½ ounce Sloop Betty honey-flavored vodka
- 1 ounce orange-flavored simple syrup
- Dash of fresh squeezed orange juice
- Club soda and lime juice to fill glass
Preparation
Make your own simple sugar by putting equal amounts of sugar and water in a small sauce pan, add a few twists of orange peel, bring to a boil and continue until sugar is dissolved, then cool and strain out the peel.
Add ice cubes in a very tall glass, and pour in the vodka, syrup and orange juice. Stir. Add a touch of lime juice to taste and then fill the glass with club soda.
