Vanilla Bean Rose Scrub

After going through countless pounds of sugar, I’ve discovered the formula that I love, one that is moisturizing and exfoliating at the same time. I find that these scrubs stay fresh for two to three months.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 2 Cup(s)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup walnut oil
  • 1 vanilla bean, seeds scraped out
  • 5 drops vanilla essential oil
  • ½ cup crushed dried culinary rose petals

Preparation

In a bowl, stir together the sugar and walnut oil. Add in the scraped vanilla seeds and essential oil and stir. Stir in the rose petals. Package in a jar with a seal-tight lid. These make for the cutest gifts because they look beautiful sitting near your tub or shower.

TIP For the “healthiest” skin scrub, make sure the dried rose petals are culinary grade, which ensures they weren’t treated with chemicals.
